Missional Community Groups

Missional Communities are groups of people who gather regularly to discuss the Bible or Bible-based curriculum for fellowship, worship and prayer. The goal of every missional community is to make disciples who invest in one another in tangible ways spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and relationally. We desire to become disciples that follow Jesus, are changed by Jesus, and are involved in Jesus’ mission (Matthew 4:19).

Missional Communities are safe places where individuals care for one another, encourage each other through life challenges and brokenness. Sometimes, that will take the form of challenge to develop one another into deeper spiritual truths, spurring one another on to live on mission with Jesus and how He designed us. Again, the goal is life transformation, as Jesus gives life to the full (John 10:10). To accomplish that groups will share life together, sharing meals, ideas, prayers requests and much more.

Missional Communities are not an add on program, but they are the heartbeat of our church. We are called to do life together and demonstrate God’s love together. Each missional community group is also encouraged to regularly serve together, whether it is an annual service project or an adopted ministry at Encounter.
