What To Expect

Encounter Church is a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory

You'll be greeted by a smiling face and welcomed to Encounter when you walk through the doors. There are plenty of people to help direct you towards the snacks and coffee, show you the sanctuary or point you in the direction of eKids, our children's ministry.

Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and to meet new people. We're excited you chose to worship with us!

FAQs

What should I wear?

We want you to wear whatever you are most comfortable in. Jeans, t-shirts, skirts, hoodies, suit and tie. It's all good!

How long are your services?

Our services are intentional, planned and sensitive to the leading of God's presence. They typically last around 60 minutes.

What kind of music do you sing?

We have contemporary, Spirit-filled worship with a variety of instruments and voices. You may know some of the songs but if not, the words are on the screens for you to sing along if you are comfortable.

Are there refreshments?

Yes! We have coffee, tea, hot cocoa and cappuccino available as well as some yummy treats in the cafe. Be sure to say hello to someone as you enjoy the Sunday morning snacks!

Do you have programming for kids?

Sure do! There are classes for infants-5th grade at both the 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. Classes are divided by age and enjoy a lesson, snacks, games and fun!

What about my teenager?

Our 6th-8th graders meet during the 10:30 service each Sunday morning. Sunday evening we have Journey Ministry Rally. This special time is for 6th-12th graders and includes a light supper, Bible study and fun together as a group.

Where do I go when I arrive?

Once you have parked your car, you'll head into the main doors of the church under the carport. From there the eKids check-in counter is on your right, the coffee counter and snacks are just beyond that, restrooms are to the left and the Welcome Center and sanctuary are straight ahead. The eKids check-in team will help you find the children's classrooms and we have greeters and Welcome Center staff ready to help with any questions or directions.

Get Connected

Infants - 5th Grade

eKids is our children's ministry. We would love to have your children join us where they can experience church at their age level. There are nurseries and classrooms for infants-5th grade during both Sunday morning services.

6th - 12th Grade

Journey Ministries is the name of our jr. high and high school youth group. They meet Sunday and Wednesday evenings and have a class just for 6th-7th graders on Sunday morning during the 10:30 a.m. service.

Adults

There are many opportunities for adults to get connected and involved at Encounter. We have missional community groups happening throughout the week, as well as special events for the entire church to enjoy together.
